What better way to celebrate the end of such an important year for the Darwin Symphony Orchestra than to indulge in the age old themes that are presented in Carl Orff's music and choral composition Carmina Burana.

Guest Conductor, Nicholas Routley returns to the stage of the Darwin Entertainment Center to conduct a combined performance of the DSO and the Darwin Chorale. Hartley Newnham and Lorina Gore - much loved Counter Tenor and Baritone, and Soprano (respectively) will join Routley under the bright lights of this scrumptously rich vocal and orchestral feast. Keep an eye on the percussion section as Orff's masterpiece can be brutally percussive in parts and thats where the action will be!

As if there isn't already enough in this concert program to satisfy anyones cravings for iconic words, the DSO also has a world premiere to present to you. Routley himself will conduct the DSO and and soloist David Thomas in the first ever performance of Routley's Clarinet Concerto. (https://m2.facebook.com)
